Knudsen&CRC and Leaping Bunny US to draft the non-animal test standard for China market; from definition to judgement standard. We can also develop a logo especially for China market to enable the certified brand to claim “non-animal tested”.
Our scope of services to the pilot brands included
identifying and qualifying domestic manufacturers who
could comply with our strict pilot project guidelines. In
addition, we assisted our pilot brands with import of
bulk products, screening of ingredients, supervising and
managing production, developing packaging and
labeling, as well as managing the domestic NMPA
product filing.
Although it is no longer mandatory for all imported
cosmetics to test on animals, we continue to offer these
services. The motivations for domestic production are
several. Some countries are still not able to provide the
required GMP certificates for their cosmetics
manufacturers and they are therefore not able to avoid
mandatory animal testing when importing into China.
And some companies continue to produce locally due to
both cost and environmental considerations.
